CAROLINE DAWSON | A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Caroline — or Caz to pretty much everyone — grew up in rural North East Wales with food, farming and adventure firmly in the mix. Her career has never followed a particularly straight line, but that's exactly where the good stuff happens.
She's worked across agriculture, food, rural business and tourism, with roles ranging from Local Food Project Officer to Head of Agri Food at Promar International. Along the way, work has taken her around the world, delivering trade events, exploring new markets and helping businesses turn ideas into opportunities. Closer to home, Caz has run and supported award-winning businesses and is particularly at home with farmers, start-ups and rural tourism businesses with a big idea, a scribbled plan and no idea where to start. A Farming Connect Mentor and Agrisgôp Leader, Caz is also a longstanding Great Taste judge, an Innovate UK assessor and the first female Trustee and Director of the Welsh Dee Trust. As a free-ranging consultant, she doesn't do cookie-cutter solutions or reports that gather dust. She asks questions, challenges ideas, spots opportunities and helps turn “I've been thinking about…” into “right, let's actually do this.” When she's not talking farming, food or rural business, you'll find her tinkering with her Defender, Huldra, or leading paddle expeditions in the UK and overseas through her award-winning adventure business, SUP Lass Paddle Adventures. |
